Oregon Climate will be hosting a Youth Lobby Day for Carbon Pricing on February 11th in Salem.
Their student Fellows are spearheading the event and reaching out to other students/youth to join them in the Capitol. The lobby day has a few goals:
- To teach youth the basics about civic engagement and lobbying
- To teach youth about carbon pricing as a solution for climate change
- To show youth that talking to legislators isn’t a scary thing that only professional lobbyists can do!
AND they’ll have a National Geographic Channel documentary film crew to catch it all on camera!

No lobbying experience is necessary and rides to Salem are available.
