Lincoln and Benton Counties have teamed up and are offering two buses that run between Corvallis and Newport. A bus leaves each location four times a day, and they both run seven days a week (except Christmas and Thanksgiving). Animals are allowed, but non-service animals must be in veterinarian-approved containers. The buses are ADA accessible with a wheelchair lift and bike racks are available for free. The bus stops at the Corvallis Downtown Transit Center (5th and Monroe) making it easy to link up with CTS.
Cross-county trips cost $7 to $10 but bulk tickets are available at discounted rates. The bus also offers short trips for a highly discounted price. Taking the bus between Toledo Park & Ride and Newport and between Philomath and Corvallis costs only $1. Taking it from Corvallis to the Albany Amtrak station costs $2. Once you are in Newport, you can take advantage of the Lincoln County Bus system. All buses run Monday through Saturday, and a few run on Sunday. You can ride from Yachats 60 miles north to Rose Lodge and stop everywhere in between for less then $8.
