Tillamook County Master Gardeners Learning Garden

Entrance to Learning Garden Tillamook County Master Gardeners Learning Garden is located at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds, 4603 3rd Street, Tillamook.  The Learning Garden is an ongoing educational project of the Tillamook County Master Gardeners Association — available for public enjoyment year-round.

Each year’s ‘crop’ of apprentices spend time in the garden as it constitutes the practicum portion required for certification as an OSU Master Gardener. Our gardeners harvest fresh produce grown onsite for use by community food banks.

The garden is a learning lab for all Tillamook County Master Gardeners who choose to participate. Master Gardeners are working in the garden on Thursdays, 9:00am – 12:00 Noon, March through Mid-November.  Why not stop by for a visit?

Learning Garden Features

Each year Master Gardeners undertake special projects in the Learning Garden.  A major addition to the garden was construction of a heated hoop house primarily for extended season use, but also serves as an educational venue for classes open to the public as well as our Master Gardeners.

A covered showcase has been built at the garden entrance showcasing our Tillamook County Quilt Trail.  Space has been reserved for smaller blocks in Honor or Memory of family and friends.  Those wishing to add a Memory Block should contact the OSU Extension Office at 503-842-3433.
