I would then try to find out more about the situation. I have never personally been in one of these situations, so it is hard to know how I would genuinely react, but I would hope it would be with a rational mind. Once I have researched the situation more, I expect to understand it better. With this, I would be able to decide either to wait and see how the situation unfolds or completely stop my support of the company. With my initial thoughts, I think even with little to no information, I would take a step back from supporting the company. I think it would change whether I wanted to work at that company. If I were going as a newly graduated college student, I would be apprehensive about the treatment I might receive. But if I were going in as the CEO, I would still have reservations, but I would be going in intending to create change in the environment around me. The thought of being discriminated against can be very isolating, coming from someone who knows she has a lot of privileges that others may not have. So I think the perception or influence on my decision making depends on how much \u201cpower\u201d my potential role would have. If it was limited, I would not want to work in that environment and would try to look for jobs elsewhere, but if I was going into a role of influence, I think I would consider it more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If my favourite company was accused of discrimination against my belief, I think my first reaction would be disappointment and shock.
