The results of my IPIP-NEO test are that I have levels of extraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness. But low levels of neuroticism and openness to experience. I had a score of 78 in extraversion which indicates I am social, outgoing and lively. In agreeableness, I scored 74 indicating that I have a strong interest in others’ needs and well-being. For conscientiousness, I scored 68 indicating I am determined to set goals and achieve them. Neuroticism I scored 24, indicating I am pretty calm and composed. Finally, openness to experience which I scored 32. Indicating I am down to earth, practical and conservative.
I think if an employer was looking at my results. They might be able to see potential in my conscientiousness score, my ability to set goals and my determination to achieve them. I believe this is a good value for employees in a lot of jobs as it shows a willingness to get sucking and accomplish the tasks that are set for me. In a lot of job roles there seems to be considerable amounts of team/ group work involved. I think my extraversion score will be a seen as a strength in this department as the ability to be outgoing and wanting to be around people all the time could be seen as a good foundation for a good team player. I think when pairing this with my low neuroticism seems to strengthen my claim of being a team player and determined. Alongside this low neuroticism my agreeableness score could also seem to strengthen this claim, the ability aware of the emotions and feelings of the other people around me could make me not only a good teammate but also future leader. Neurocitism could also show that I might be successful in a high pressure job due to my ability to calm and composed.
