Blog #1

This blog will explore the following companies from 2025 Fortune Best Companies to Work: Hilton, NVIDIA, and Delta Airlines. I will explain how their workforce loves the environment they work in and why it’s great. Something that is found amongst all of these companies is how they invest in their employees through different benefits other than pay like work culture, opportunities to grow, strong management, etc. This shows how HR and management plays a role.

The Hilton is known to be a leading hospitality company with 95% of their employees loving the environment they work in. What is most commonly said to be liked is the “Team” aspect in the company. One piece they mention is how every team member can be a leader. As a manager I would say this is important for employees to believe. It is important that they have proper training, continuous learning, and the resources to do so. 

NVIDIA and Delta Airlines share a common feeling in their companies which is the “People.” As an HR and management standpoint it’s important to have core values in a company. One of the major ones for NVIDIA is, “One Team.” This stood out to me because as a manager I would want my employees to know that we are together on everything. Something that Delta Airlines does is reward their employees for the success they built together through benefits. Another thing that I would do as a manager is reward my employees to ensure that they know they’re recognized for their hard work. 

Ultimately as a manager I would want to reward my employees for their hard work, have a set of strong core values, provide proper training, continuous learning, and providing them the resources to become a leader. The most difficult part about this is creating a successful company while meeting employee’s needs. For example, it’s difficult to satisfy everyone, give and respond to feedback, resolve issues, and support the development of every employee. This is what I think would be the most difficult as a manager in the workplace.
