For this project, I have mostly used AI to help in the organization of certain components that need to get done. It has been useful to have a list of things that I could look back on so that I can stay organized on the tasks I need to get done for the project.
I have started recently trying to use AI to learn different languages better. I’ve mostly used to it make small games that I build on as I finish certain specifications. This works well to quickly get a feature online but my goal with using it is to try to get more capable myself. It can kind of be a double edged sword as I try to walk the line of not relying on it too much for features that I want to implement. Additionally, with features that I do use it on it often bakes in assumptions about my features or what I am wanting to use certain functions on. It definitely is a powerful tool when things are simple enough but I often find it gets ahead of itself in the things that it thinks I want implemented. At the same time I can address the issues I have in another prompt but at some point, (sometimes it doesn’t take long at all) it gets confused and I end up not getting what I need out it it.
AI is definitely worth using as a learning tool but it takes the people using it to be honest with themselves about just how capable they are as a programmer without it.
