I think the main things I took from this week was the fact that a designer must ask how and why first before doing anything, and along with that, the how usually outweighs the why. This seems quite negative to me, yet I do see this in everyday life. When I see impressive art or design the first thing I ask is “How did they create that?”, when in reality I should be looking at “Why did they create that?”. Was it simply a job? did a machine create it? Did they struggle with it? This brings us into a much more in depth critical thinking process that is necessary3 to design thinking.
