Locally Remote

I’ve always had a job where I needed to be present in the office or work space in order to get my work done. This past summer, I was able to get a taste of virtual work experience. Waking up an hour later, not wearing business casual clothes, and overall better morning attitude, I felt that I was missing out on this whole new type of work experience. Even though I didn’t fully complete my BS in comp sci yet, I started applying for jobs that are mostly, if not all, remote. I think that this type of work is something that I am forever going to chase because I find that I am much more productive working from home. Most of the jobs that I am applying to, are software engineering positions that are spread around the US. I am hopeful that I will get something going before I graduate because for the 2 weeks that I started applying to jobs, I have received a good percentage of either technical questions for prelims or a few 15 min recruiter meet and greets in return. If I can get a remote job, I definitely think that I would have achieved what I set out to achieve
