After a hiatus of about five years the Words from a Wet Vet has returned. COVID and post-COVID staffing changes and reorganization led us to temporarily deprioritize the Blog. The Aquatic Animal Health Program is now a bit smaller and since we aren’t able to provide as much face-to-face outreach, which occupied a lot of our time pre-COVID., we will be trying to do more utilizing social media and web-based outreach and training.

Initially our goal will to post content twice a month. We plan to provide information and insights that are useful to aquarium fish retailers, wholesalers, importers, exporters and hobbyists from the perspective of aquatic animal health and welfare professionals, particularly aquatic veterinarians.

Since one of our overarching goals is education and supporting continued professionalization of the industry we will also pass along training opportunities offered by this program or other programs that we feel would be useful to industry professionals and hobbyists.
