Lexi Welch is part of the Human Development and Family Sciences (HDFS) Club, which provides professional development, community service and social opportunities geared toward HDFS students. Although primarily for HDFS majors, anyone who is interested in the club is welcome to join.
What is your best memory?
The best memory I have of this club is of volunteering at Regency Park Place Assisted Living with 20 other volunteers for their Valentine’s Day Senior Prom. Everyone made the event so fun, and it was great to see all of the residents having a great time!
How have you grown from being involved?
This club has definitely helped me improve my leadership skills and has made me feel more comfortable contacting professionals in the community for information and coordinating events. I feel as though my network in Corvallis has been greatly expanded through participation in the club.
