On Wednesday, June 28, we will be hosting tours of the experimental thermal-hydraulic facilities at the School of Nuclear Science and Engineering and the OSU TRIGA reactor, all located at the Radiation Center building on the Oregon State University Campus. These tours will include visits to the Hydro-Mechanical Fuel Test Facility, Naval Reactor Test Facility, Transient Reactor Test Facility, and our under-construction dedicated sodium research lab space.
Tours on June 28 will take approximately 1.5 hours with time split between the thermal-hydraulic research facilities and the OSU TRIGA. Due to group size limitations for the TRIGA, we will host 3 separate tours with a maximum of 20 people in each tour group.
Tour times will be:
- 9:00 am
- 10:00 am
- 11:00 am
- 12:00 pm
All participants must bring a valid government-issued photo ID that includes their name written in a Latin alphabet so our staff can verify the name. All participants must also wear closed-toe shoes and long pants that fully cover their legs. We do not recommend high heels for the tours.
Cameras, cell phones, bags, backpacks, food and drink are not allowed in the restricted areas of the building. We will provide a secure area where you will be able to leave your belongings for the duration of the tour.
