Introduction
My name is Christian Tramill and I’m currently located in Montana.
Hobbies
Currently during my off time I’m usually playing with my kids or studying Unity with the hopes of becoming a game dev at some point. I currently have 3 kids and have another on the way. I don’t typically watch tv but when I do I watch older shows like Scrubs, The Office, and Burn Notice.
Why Computers?
Ever since I played Mortal Combat 1 on the original Gameboy I’ve loved tech. As I grew older I was lucky enough to witness the rapid growth of tech and it’s always interested me. When I grew older I use to play games on emulators just so I could run a program called Cheat Engine to modify memory in game to max out exp gains and health. Eventually I started to create action replay codes for a game called Kingdom Hearts 2.
I’ve also witnessed the introduction of DLC and eventually loot boxes which I feel are harmful to todays youth. My hope is to eventually own a studio that can focus on making great games absent from todays current game practices.
Favorite Tech
I believe the current growth of AI is extremely interesting. I think it’s a great tool and it will help people become more productive. I do think however that it’s capabilities are currently overblown and it’s effect on copyright needs to be looked at more.
Journey at OSU
Earning my degree has been great! Taking it online has pushed me by making me more self sufficient due to the lack of in person contact. I love finding solutions to problems and it’s enabled me to do so. One downside is the lack of a social network but hopefully the capstone helps. That said, it’s still a great program that pushes you and I feel like I ready for a final project to demonstrate my capabilities.
