This is the endgame (almost for the 1st quarter)

Wow, does time fly! It’s already the middle of November. All the leaves on the trees almost completely fallen off here in Newberg, Oregon. When you walk into stores, you here the faint sound of Christmas music and all the Halloween decorations are 90% off! I mean, you can get a giant bag of assorted Hershey’s chocolates for $5! Now that is the true sign of the transition into the Christmas season.

Anyway…

I started off the quarter working on a desktop application, desired to be an all-in-one solution. Essentially, the idea was to have a notion/figma/arc app that could do everything. It’s a great idea, and I was excited to work on it. Long story short… it didn’t work out for my team and I so we set out on a new adventure… something similar to what we were working on before… wait for it…

A Sim Firefighter Game!

It is nothing similar to our earlier endeavor as maybe you could sense the sarcasm, but wow has it been fun! I think the 180 has been a great learning experience. We have had to pivot and start right from the beginning, establishing tools and the tech stack we want to use.

You learn more starting with nothing. You get to see a project from start to finish, basically building the foundation and building blocks on top of that.

I am excited to keep on developing the project, especially with my amazing team! We still have come up with a name yet, so here’s to the Sim Firefighter game! (better name TBD)
