Hi there! I’m Tom and living in sunny San Diego, CA. I came from Taiwan originally and studied mechanical engineering in college. Fall 2024 and Online Capstone Project will be my last term and course in Post-bacc in Oregon State University.
I work as aerospace engineer currently. I wanted to switch to SW career track about 7 years ago and I finally have come to this point. I’m not going to lie that in the beginning I was attracted by the glamorous things and perks that I heard working as developers. On top of that now, I’m so impressed by the work and innovations can be cranked out with laptop and developer. It’s attractive to me because it’s so agile, efficient and quick turnaround with all the creativity. In the near future I hope to start in dev ops while exploring other applications.
My favorite technology is ChatGPT and AI without doubts. I just begin to tap into it and already thought about some ideas what to do and test with it. Hence I listed my favorite projects in this course related to AI. Some of the topics are about finance and investing which also are my interests.
Personally, I have 3 kids, no pets, no time for hobbies, working as full time engineer and part time reservist in the navy. In 2024, I want to be healthy and open the next chapter on this journey.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
