Let me be the first to say, welcome to my blog, a written documentary of not only my schooling over the past four years, but my path of completing my true college experience as I journey to complete “the big one” (Lasseter, John. Toy Story. Buena Vista Pictures, 1995.), my senior capstone. Computer science has a been a journey, with both ups and downs, and I can’t wait to share not only my past experiences and applying what I’ve learned, but sharing my future aspirations and my desire to be great.
Over the past four years, I’ve learned a lot, some of which involving education like changing of majors, overcoming procrastination, or what it’s like to not meet expectations in a course, but I’ve also learned a lot in life as a whole, especially in my second half of college, battling through depression, financial crisis situations, and the loss of some of my family. I’ve learned life is going to be hard, no matter who or where you are. Life wants to challenge you, and show that your truest form of success is using those hardships to not only better yourself, but to better those around you too.
About Me
My name is Austyn, a 23 year old located in Keizer Oregon. One of my biggest things is I love the outdoors, whether I’m taking photos, fly fishing, camping or hiking, something about being outside with the fresh air floods me with joy. When I’m not outdoors, you can often find me lifting, gaming, cooking, or baking my newest loaf of bread.
My love and drive for computers and software started pretty young, right around when I had started high school. I was introduced initially to CAD and 3d modeling, and for some reason, that had sparked a drive in me, being able to create something new, that no one else may have even thought of before. And over the course of 4 years of CAD, typing, and some very basic high school html classes, I had gained a new perspective to the word creation, which has lead me to where I am now.
So let me be the first (and probably only) to say welcome to my blog, and I’m glad you decided to stop by and get to know me and see the start of my journey. Feel free to stick around, sit back, and watch my learning experience as I tackle my final obstacle of overcoming my senior project
until next time,
Austyn
