What am I good at?

Positivity – This trait, in addition to inclusivity, is my top two from the strengths finder survey. There could be a few reasons that positivity continues to be my #1 strength, but I attribute a lot of it to the hardships I’ve endured growing up.

Inclusivity – I also attribute this trait to growing up in a very diverse environment. I was born and raised in Hawaii where the typical minority is the majority. I continue to promote inclusion of all.

Resilience – This is not a trait that was specifically called out on strengths finder, but I continue to encounter and overcome difficult situations in life.

2. What do I value?

Trust – I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. I highly value the trust that I have in others and if for some reason the trust is broken, I approach situations with skepticism.

Respect – This value is similar to trust where it comes automatically with anyone that I encounter. Sometimes I find that people will not respect me until I “prove myself” but I think that is a reflection on how they approach their life and not a reflection on my self-worth.

Hard-work – I value the hard-work of others because it inspires me to work just as hard. I do not mean this in an exhaustive way, but I appreciate when others put time and effort into their job.

3. How did I get here?

Dedication – I have been dedicated to the profession of pharmacy for a very long time. In addition to devoting undergraduate studies to Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Studies, I also earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy. Granted, this is required to be a pharmacist so it’s not a huge accomplishment (lol). However, I was dedicated enough to pursue a 2 year residency and complete an MBA so that has been an amazing experience.

Failure – Although I have been fortunate to have a lot of success in pharmacy, it has not come without it’s failures.

Grit – Many of my failures have taught me grit. I continue to work through mistakes and learn from them!

4. Where am I going?

Hospital Pharmacy Management. I am fortunate the my years of residency has allowed me to find a position that I am interested and is in need.

1. What am I good at? 2.
