Recently, I read an article on science and technology in the New York Times. Among them, the part about electric vehicles makes people feel the policy support for the technology. US President Biden announced in 2021 that he would vigorously develop electric vehicles and strive to make electric vehicles account for 50% of the market in the United States by 2030. The biggest resistance to the development of electric vehicles is the development of electric vehicle batteries. Electric vehicle technicians have also been working on batteries. The lithium-ion battery used in electric vehicles has a large and heavy battery pack, which will not only increase the overall weight of electric vehicles but also reduce the fuel efficiency of electric vehicles. To solve these problems, there is a technical vision to develop the lithium-ion battery into an all-solid-state version, so that the solid electrolyte can replace the intermediate liquid electrolyte in a wide temperature range and voltage range, which can not only reduce the volume of the battery but also achieve higher energy density. If this technology has achieved a breakthrough in the future, electric vehicles will be able to popularize to the market earlier and even exceed the market share of fuel vehicles.
