The company that I chose to research is Moda Health. This is an insurance company with its headquarters being located in Portland, Oregon. Moda Health provides health insurance to individuals all over the country. I chose this company because I have the possibility of working here after I graduate from college, and I wanted to look into how they compensate their employees so that I can see if it would be the right fit for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the things that drew me to this company was their company culture and their possibilities for growth within the company. The position that I would be applying for would be considered an entry-level position, and there are many levels above this position that I would be able to be promoted into. All of the positions at this company are salary based, with extra benefits and compensation that can be earned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on my research into the company, and my informational interview, I would recommend that Moda Health use a job-based pay structure. When talking to the manager conducting my informational interview, she told me that the compensation and benefits at Moda Health are great and they are a part of the reason that she took her job. She also told me that right after she graduated college, she started out as a data entry intern, and has worked her way all the way up to department manager. This shows that there is a hierarchical structure to Moda Health, and that compensation is not based on the skills or knowledge that an employee may have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on the information I have gained from learning about job-based pay structures and person-based pay structures, I am very confident to say that Moda Health’s best option for a pay structure is to use the job-based pay structure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
