Hello! My name is Andrew Suezaki and welcome to my capstone blog! I got my first degree in Biology at SDSU and was set to go to nursing school before I made the last minute switch to CS. I’m now on my last term in the program and I’m both excited and anxious to start working in the computer science field. I’m so glad I made the switch though and I’ve been having a lot of fun learning CS. Currently, I’m a full-time student in this program and am also in the process of applying and pretending to practice leetcode. My final two courses I’m taking this term are CS 467 Capstone and CS 493 Cloud Development. In my free time I enjoy playing videogames, spending time with friends and family, traveling (when I can afford to), and binging tv shows or movies. I live in San Diego with my partner and our 2 pets: Mochi (huskita) and Zuko (ball python) whom I love very much.

I’ve never worked on a CS project of this magnitude before, especially with a group setting so I am a bit nervous. My top project choice was the Dating App for Animals. I think it is such a great idea and am very interested in implementing it. However, most of the other project options were interesting to me as well so I’m not too worried about group placement and project choice. Although I do feel prepared enough to hold my weight as a team member, there has always been an unshakable feeling of imposter syndrome for me throughout this program which is where a majority of the nervousness stems from. However, I am really looking forward to the experience and hope to end this program on a good note.
