Hello. Thanks for visiting my blog. I’m excited to be enrolled in CS 467 (and not just because that means I will be graduating this term). I have been working with computers pretty much my whole life in school and at various jobs. My first experience with coding was creating a website in html in high school.\u00a0 Web design is actually my current occupation and I have been doing it part-time while taking courses in this program. My first degree was in digital technology and culture which dealt a lot with media creation and how computers will continue to shape our lives going forward. While I enjoyed it, it was very light on actual programming so I decided to pursue an education in computer science.<\/p>\n
After graduation I hope to get a job as a software engineer and I would also love to move into the games industry as some point. I was pleased to see a lot of the project for this class are game or sim based. I often experiment in the Unity engine with small projects I find on youtube. Currently I have a fascination with building bots in Discord that allow my friends to play old games using messages as commands and I am also rounding up the materials to mod a Gameboy Color I own to have an LCD screen.<\/p>\n
