My name is Steven Bertolucci and here, you will see posts about my journey at Oregon State University.

A long time ago, I embarked on a journey that required me to throw the One Ring into the fiery lava of Mount Doom and let me tell you this: It was not fun! I starved myself for 6 months living off the Elvish bread, got stung by a spider, lost a finger, and almost got melted by the explosion of Mount Doom until I got rescued by the Eagles. After the rigorous journey, there was nothing to do so I took up a new adventure to keep myself busy. I later enrolled at Oregon State University as a Computer Science major and I am proud to call myself a Beaver because I got sick of being called the “Shire Rat” that those nasty orcs used to call me.

Anyhoo, prior to my two years as a Beaver, I originally started at San Diego State University before transferring to Oregon State University. This was the best decision I have ever made in my educational career as OSU’s teaching method is much more suitable to my learning methods. I have learned so many skills as a Computer Scientist and as a soon-to-be graduate, I am proud to call Oregon State University my institution.

In my two years as a OSU student, I have worked on several projects, such as, Exercise Logger, which is a web application that I created to record workouts, save workouts, delete workouts, and setting a reminder for the next workout. This was my first big project that I had completed as a Beaver. As the quarters went by, I started to design web applications that utilize the use of database and APIs. The second project that I created focused on a small pharmaceutical to keep track of inventory, users, orders, passwords, and shipping addresses. The website was known as “The Potion” because it was a two person team and our team name was “Jekyll and Hyde.” I considered that project to be the most rewarding project I have ever done because my teammate and I had to research several things due to roadblocks and we ended up finishing the project with a complete and functional website. The third project that I created was called, “The Directory,” where I created a responsive website that lists/displays user input. The website receives a zip code from the user and it lists and displays the timezone, currency, geolocation (lat/long coordinates), and a google map of the estimated location of that zip code. If it wasn’t for “The Potion” project, I would have really struggled with this project, but I am proud of what I have learned at Oregon State University.

So, welcome to my blog and I look forward to posting new experiences with all projects that I am partaking in! Go Beavs!

Hello, Everyone! Welcome to my blog and allow me to introduce myself.
