Yay! Excited that we are almost halfway done, and thus far the project is going ok and a lot faster than expected. I’ve gotten all of the app basics done such as finishing the app navigation, using a map API to display the user’s area, and creating my classes. Throughout this process, ChatGPT has been super helpful and quite supportive. In the coming week, I would like to be able to randomly place treasure chests somewhere on a map, and have that spot be near the road (can’t have people entering random buildings). Here are some specific questions:
What communication tools is your team using, and how well is this going?
In terms of team communication, we have been using Discord which has worked out quite well for us. Tamarsh is amazing and has created a lot of sub-channels to organize our communication. The response time has also been super fast from my teammates.
Do you personally feel your part of the project will succeed? If not, what do you plan to do to get back on track?
I do feel like my part of the project is going to turn out well. My goal was to rely on ChatGPT heavily for help and that is what I’ve been doing. The only thing that causes me confusion is whether I should explicitly cite whenever I use ChatGPT’s code. Based on what teammates are doing, I will follow suit.
Until next time 🙂
