- Some of the most interesting things I’ve learned in this class are about how much dysbiosis can impact our overall health. Something so small that most of us don’t even think about can have an incredible impact on our health. Specifically, diabetes being controlled, in part, but our gut microbiota is something that I find really interesting. Additionally, I find it very interesting that the way we are delivered at birth impacts our entire lives. I was born via c-section and I know that this has impacted things in my life that I don’t even know about or consider.
- The way we are delivered at birth impacts our entire lives. Something that we can’t control, and probably don’t even consider most of the time, could change things in our lives like health outcomes and impact risk factors for diseases like diabetes and IBS.
- I think I want to look into how C-section vs. vaginal delivery changes the microbiome, and in turn, how those changes to the microbiome impact our health outcomes later in life.
