SIG Scheduled Maintenance

Load Balancer Upgrade 12/19 @ 10pm

** Maintenance Announcement – No service interruption anticipated **

On Saturday December 19th at 10pm we will be upgrading the Netscalers firmware.  Since they are in HA mode no outages or downtime are expected.  In the unlikely event of problems, changes will be rolled back and the maintenance will be scheduled for a later date.

Name Server Maintenance 12/19 @ 10pm

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on the name servers. Only one name server will be taken down at a time to minimize any potential impact. Each host will be unreachable for approximately 5 minutes while maintenance is in progress and the system is rebooted.

Any services hard-coded to a single name server will likely experience issues until that name server is restored.

Cyder will continue to be available although any changes will not be pushed live until the maintenance is complete.

Cyder Maintenance 11/27 @ 10pm

From 10pm until 11pm on Saturday, November 27th Cyder (https://cyder.oregonstate.edu/) will be taken offline for code updates. During the outage self registrations and additions or changes to DHCP/DNS records will not be possible.

Arista 7150 switch firmware update

We will be applying the latest stable maintenance release firmware for our Arista switch pair in our primary storage & compute POD. We do not anticipate any customer noticeable downtime.

Maintenance Adding Vlan 1276

On Saturday Sept 19th at 9:00pm we will be doing maintenance to add a new VLAN 1276.

This should not cause any outages we will be working with NOC having them plumb it into our infrastructure.  We expect this to take less than a hour.

Maintenance Adding Vlan 477 to ESXi hosts and switches 9:00-10:00pm

On August 29th starting at 9:00pm we will be doing maintenance to add a new VLAN this should not cause any outages we will be working with NOC having them plumb it into our infrastructure.  We expect this to take less than a hour.

Apply windows Updates Vcenter-vp02

On Saturday Feb 28th 2015 during our maintenace window starting at 10:00pm I will apply pending windows updates which will require a reboot of the vm. This will take about 10 to 15 minutes before all services are up and running again.  During which time the Vsphere web client will not be available.

Adding vlan 3820 Nov 11th

We will be working with NOC to add vlan 3820 to our blade enclosures ports. This will be done to one  datacenter  at a  time.
