Currently I am a Data Analytics intern for a small gaming team at Intel. Thanks to the this post-bacc program I was able to qualify for the role (being an intern) and now am on my way to getting a full-time position at the end of this term! Additionally, as I transition to a full-time role, I will also be moving over to a developer role. While I am excited for the transition, I still have a lot to learn and it’s a bit overwhelming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moving into a developer role is a bit nerve-wracking for me. I am proud of my accomplishments and being able to get to this point, however I can’t help but feel a bit of “imposter syndrome”. This isn’t the first time I’ve felt “imposter syndrome” and I’m sure it won’t be my last. One method that I’ve used to deal with this is by just overworking myself. However this is usually just a band-aid fix for coming to terms with imposter-syndrome. Ultimately, the best fix I’ve found for dealing with it is to just accept that I have a lot to learn and be proud of where I’ve gotten to so far.
