Asthma is the leading cause of absenteeism in schools.\u00a0 This directly affects academic achievement.\u00a0 Mice and cockroaches are asthma triggers.\u00a0 These and other pests can be vectors of serious diseases such as Lyme disease, leptospirosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and West Nile virus.<\/p>\n

Pests of public health concern can be a problem in other \u2018sensitive sites\u2019 such as adult care facilities, multifamily housing, city parks and other public spaces where people live, work and play.<\/p>\n

You can support our work to improve people\u2019s health and safety while reducing the costs to control pests.<\/strong>\u00a0Your donation will allow us to provide objective, research-based information and assistance to schools and other public spaces.<\/p>\n
