I would like to share one thing before we talk about a topic in this week. We got a comment from Professor for Blog#3 \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Search Unreal Engine 4 \/ Japanese or English <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Learning new things is always fun and also hard. In this week, I started learning Unreal Engine 4 that we are going to use for our game development project. When we learn new technology such as programming language, what do we do first? I do search on Google like “Unreal Engine 4 \u4f7f\u3044\u65b9” or “Unreal Engine 4 How to use”. Yes, I search in Japanese and English. I think there are 2 reasons why I use different languages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One is that I can compare articles in Japanese and English. From my experience, there are slightly difference between articles written in different languages. For programming language, Japanese articles typically just gave example and usage for codes. On the other hand, English articles typically explain codes in detail. Therefore, I would search in Japanese if I just want to remember how to use codes, and I would search in English if I want to know how the code is working in that programming language. On Japanese website, I can see the example of “next_permutation” first. On English website, I can see the definitions for different c++ version, parameters, return value and other important information, and implementation at first. You may be able to feel the difference by checking these websites. Japanese<\/a> | English<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The another reason is that difference in the ease of finding articles. If you want to make Sushi, you are probably able to find more articles in Japanese. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is the result of searching Unreal English 4 in different languages. I found that official website<\/a> has the tutorials for Unreal Engine 4 in Japanese and English. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think I should learn Unreal Engine 4 by using this official documentation, and I an going to use both English and Japanese. Learning thins in Japanese is much faster than learning in English. However, I must check in English so that I can communicate with my project members. I also realized that online learning courses<\/a> are in English, and I will take these courses for our group project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
