Choosing My Project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you read my post in Blog #1 – About Me<\/em>, you know that I am interested in AI development and that I participate in competitive programming contests. When I was looking for a project, I found some projects related to AI development, and registered for the project titled “Artificial Intelligence Using Intel DevCloud” as my top choice. I also found some interesting AI projects, but in the end I chose a game development project as my second option because I have some experience developing game AI from competitive game programming contests. I was so excited to involved in AI or game development project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assigned a Different Project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is time to introduce myself to my project group. I opened discussion page for my group and realized that I am assigned a group that I did not register for. At the time, I could hear one’s heart beating. I registered correct projects, but I think I messed up a Qualtrics Survey. I may have checked a wrong project. I sent an email to Professor about this, and let’s see what is going to happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meeting Game Development Group Members<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I received a quick response from Professor right after writing previous section. My Professor is super kind about this issue, and I received the list of available projects. In addition to that, I found the game development project which I chose as my second option. I checked the introduction discussion page for this group, and sent messages to my group members via Discord. Now I am writing this blog and also communicating with my group members. We already talked about some experiences of team project and made some roles we should not do according to that experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professors in the U.S.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is not related to the story of my project, and this is about the difference between Professor in Japan and the U.S. In my project story of this week, I received quick response from my Professor. I can say that this never happen in Japanese University. From my experience, some of Japanese class in University do not have Professor’s email address or any kinds of communication tool. Some of them have email address, but they never reply to student’s email immediately. They give responses during class time. I really respect Professors in the U.S, and they saved my life many times via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
