I had most of the requirements they asked for. I felt it would be a good fit for me. However, it was not the only factor in my considering this job. I was interested in learning more about lumber business, I needed a job, and it was close proximity to my home.

Upon attending the job I discovered the description to be rather vague. The employer gave additional requirements. For instance, our schedules required flexibility. It also required lifting 50 plus pounds on a regular basis, standing for more than 6 hours per day, and have a familiarity with their lumber products. This made the descriptors of the job fairly accurate to the physical execution of the work. I found that if I hadn’t been able to do all the things listed in the description there was no way I would have been able to maintain a job at Miller Lumber. I was not expecting the number of interactions that I had with the customers. The description of working with clients was vague in the description. Most of my time was spent working with them.

The job I worked at last was Miller Lumber located in Bend, Oregon.
