(2) Macarisin et al., were able to validate that <em>L. monocytogenes<\/em> had increased survival rates when inoculated onto waxed apples, as opposed to unwaxed ones. (3) The intention behind this paper was to provide insight into what may have been a factor in the <em>L. monocytogenes<\/em> outbreaks in 2014-2015, and 2017.
