We received our capstone project assignments this week, and I got the text based adventure game project that I was hoping for! I am very excited for the chance to flex my creative muscles with this. I also happened to have worked with one of my teammates in the past, and she was great to work with, so that is an added bonus! To start fostering some inspiration, I went online to find some free-to-play examples. I stumbled across textadventures.co.uk during my search, and found several fun text based adventure games! My personal favorite that I have tested so far is a fantasy game called Portcullis – but the site has games of several different genres. I am looking forward to discussing ideas with my teammates – I think a mystery or fantasy style game would be the most fun, but I am open to almost anything! If that doesn’t scream “green and hungry”, I don’t know what does.
