RSVP FOR OUR END OF SUMMER BBQ!

If you have not already done so please take a moment to register here now (it just takes a moment). There will be BBQ (and vegetarian options) as well as kid and adult-friendly beverages. Feel free to bring any “no staking required” outdoor games (basket and soccer balls will be provided and I know someone is bringing bocce ball!). If anyone wants to start a RO sports civil war, now is the time to do it. Hope to see you there on the 17th!

FIRE ALARM TESTING NEXT WEEK
Western States Fire Protection Co., will be conducting annual fire alarm testing. Testing will take place in the buildings listed below. The testing will be brief and include both sounding of alarms and strobes. Kerr will be affected on Friday.

UNIVERSITY DAY SEPT. 21

Reminder that University Day will be taking place on Monday, Sept. 21 in the Alumni Center ballroom. Many thanks to our RO Booth volunteers: Joe Christison, Julie Meier, Amy Neuman, Susan Emerson and Rob Gaebel. Friendly reminder that if you have handouts or other “schwag” you’d like placed at the RO booth please deliver them to Mimi by no later than Friday, Sept. 18. ASRG and Advantage Accelerator will also have booths at the event.

We are very excited to welcome Cindy Sagers to the Research Office as our new Vice President. Her first week is now officially in the books…welcome aboard, Cindy!  We also must say goodbye to two of our colleagues in OSRAA. Lisa Silbernagel has accepted the position of Finance and Accounting Manager for the Health Sciences Business Center and will start on Sept. 16th. Sue Brown will also be retiring next month. Many thanks to you both for you great service to the Research Office! Details re; position openings for OSRAA will be posted soon.

I am pleased to report that Eric Anundson is now a grandpa! His adorable granddaughter, Bella Lianne Vale Anundson was born on August 29 weighing at 6lbs 10oz. I see a resemblance to gramps… Congrats, Eric & family!
