For the last few months, I’ve been working for a human resources company as a headhunter intern position. I chose such a company and position because I am not so clear about my future career planning and direction, and I want to learn and understand more about people’s development direction and experience. I can actually learn a lot of things in this internship process, such as resume analysis, planning career direction, interview skills, and so on. A job like this can be very interesting at the beginning because you need to talk to people all the time and find ways to attract them to jump to other companies. It’s a difficult job because the people we need to help our clients find are also very good and capable. Most companies won’t let their best employees go to a competitor’s company, so we have a lot of obstacles to the process. There are a lot of processes that need to be done to help an employee jump to another company, and a mistake in one of them can make all the effort useless. During my internship months, I was exposed to many positions in different industries, such as large commercial banks, head securities companies, and head futures companies. These large companies are our clients, and all we need to do is help them find the right employees and leaders for their open positions. For me, I think this internship is still very positive because my aim is to help more people to choose the right position for them, instead of leaving some good people in a position where they are destined to do nothing for the rest of their lives. After all, the process of job-hopping is a two-way choice, and my task and duty are to hopefully help them provide some information rather than force them to make a choice. They can think about whether they want to continue to communicate with us based on the information and advice I provide to them.
