I started by constructing a paper mock-up around my teapot, identifying which corners needed cutting so there would be gaps for the spout and handle to fit through. I found four inch triangles to be about the right size for my teapot (with added 5\/8in borders for good measure). I salvaged the fabric from old jeans, and I&#8217;ll use the zippers for a closure mechanism around the handle.
