For my capstone project, my group will be creating a dating app for animal adoption called, “Furever Friend Finder” that matches shelter animals up with prospective owners. The project should take no more than 240 hours total to complete. This week, we completed our project plan. By the end of the semester, we hope to complete the requirements on schedule and have a fantastic project to put on our resume!

In addition, we have also split our tasks for each member into sprints, each sprint lasting one week. For this week, I have been assigned two tasks. The first task is to create dummy accounts and dummy profiles for the website. The second task is to implement the creation of dating profile with type of animal, breed, disposition, picture, availability, news item, and description. The total amount of hours for these two tasks will be 15 hours.

I have no experience working with Flask so working on this project will be a somewhat challenging to me. Prior to this week, I have been watching YouTube tutorials and reading guides on Flask for preparation. My teammates have been a huge help because they have been answering any questions I have in Teams.

I’m excited to see the project to completion! I hope we are able to implement the stretch requirements because that will make the project more robust. I’m looking forward to the next few weeks and see what we are able to accomplish!
