Taking the Life Stress Inventory

On the Life Stress Inventory questionnaire, I ended up scoring 105 total, which is below the mark of 15o indicating a relatively “normal” life. I do believe this to be accurate as a few years ago I had a big surgery on my knee, which would have put me over the 150 marks, However, since then, things have gotten relatively better and through that experience I was able to learn more about myself and my emotions.

Coping and Stress Management Skills

According to the Coping and Stress Management Skills Test, I am used to Problem Based Coping. This Basically means that I sometimes use problem-focused strategies in order to deal with stress. Using these methods can be effective for smaller problems that I can control, but bigger ones that are very bad or I have no control over will not be solved using these methods. This means that I should start to develop a new method for dealing with my stress that can also effectively deal with big situations, and not so much rely on the short-term fix.

Type A Personality Survey

On this personality quiz I got Impatience / Irritability. I think this is pretty accurate, as often I am pretty nice and chill but in certain situations, both major and minor, I can get easily irritated or impatient. Whether it comes to stopping at multiple red lights in a row, or getting food late at a restaurant, I will usually get impatient but not criticize anyone. Overall, I don’t think the results of this quiz really taught me anything new about myself, however it did kind of reinforce some of the behaviors I have shown in certain situations.
