Self Reflection

1. What am I good at?

My strengths are reliability, social, and inventory skills in the workplace. If I commit to doing something of my own accord, I will be there on time, present, and ready to go. I am good at keeping inner/external customers happy through active listening and an openness to criticism or new ideas. I excel at managing inventory amounts and looking ahead for what is needed.

2. What do I value?

I currently find being able to work remotely and having work that is singular but leads to a team. At the place I work now, I create specific sheets with information and then meet with others to share my report; I like this. I care about making an above-average salary so I can do the things I enjoy, which also partners with working remotely, so I am not tied down to one specific location.

3. How did I get here?

I started at a community college, thinking I might be able to finish an associate’s degree. When I reached the end of the degree, it felt like I should try for a transfer degree. It was only a couple more credits. The community college was partnered with OSU cascades which allowed me to be dual enrolled until I finished a bachelor’s degree. Covid hit as I was graduating, so I found a purpose in the MBA program. I have always been striving to gain a deeper understanding of the inner workings of how a business operates.

4. Where am I going?

I have no idea. I have lived in Oregon for 95% of my life. I think it would be wrong to not experience living in another state. I would like to begin as a human resources generalist, eventually leading to a director position (5-year plan). However, I do not know what industry or location I want to work in; it is to be determined.
