While I was working on some assignment in other class I read an article related to antivirus. And I felt to share it here so others can read through my thought related to antivirus which is pretty important. In that article author pointed out about how people feel that if they have antivirus, they can just run anything that they want to run. I totally agree with author’s point unless someone who knows bit about security, we all know antivirus is just a “helper” that prevents from unknown users from entering into our computers but if people were to be “oh we have antivirus so lets just run anything like torrent” that just means to open the door to your house and keep it open while you go to work. I believe having antivirus is something that we must have, its like a key lock to the door that we have at house, room, or car. Antivirus is something that will help a user from keeping their information safe. But just because we hear that people or government got hacked even with antivirus that doesn’t mean we don’t need antivirus. Usually, people getting hacked into is mostly caused by user error, where user download or go into webpages that can open doors to hackers. So, question of buying antivirus software for personal use and company users is same thing as asking question like this “will you be keeping all your wealth, personal information and family out in open? Or keep them safe inside the safe or house with password or door lock?” Simple right? So my question to readers do you still feel that antivirus is optional?
