It does mean that we believe, and hope we\u2019ll inspire you to believe, that through thoughtful and intentional choices, integrity and learning can thrive despite the many forces that are reshaping the educational system. \u2014 Gallant and Rettinger, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theoppositeofcheating.com\/the-opposite-of-cheating\"><em>The Opposite of Cheating<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Invitation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The OSU Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Ecampus invite you to register to participate in the Winter 2026 AI Book Club. Participants will collaboratively annotate and discuss Tricia Bertram Gallant and David A. Rettinger\u2019s 2025 book titled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theoppositeofcheating.com\/the-opposite-of-cheating\"><em>The Opposite of Cheating: Teaching for Integrity in the Age of AI<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Structure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The AI Book Club will begin during the week of January 19. Participants will have access to an ebook version of <em>The Opposite of Cheating<\/em> to read and annotate asynchronously using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.perusall.com\/student-collaboration-tools\">Perusall<\/a>. There will be three synchronous meetings for discussion and brainstorming applications, held from 9 to 9:50 a.m. PST via Zoom on January 22, February 5, and February 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expectations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Book club participants are expected to attend all three sessions of their section and to regularly engage with the text via Perusall between sessions throughout the quarter. The AI book club will award a digital badge to successful completers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Oregon State University fixed-term and tenured\/tenure-track faculty who regularly teach credit-based courses are eligible to apply, as well as OSU Graduate Teaching Assistants who regularly teach or assist with OSU courses. This book is helpful to participants who may be still building their own literacy and fluency with AI as well as those who are more experienced with AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Registration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To sign up for the book club, please <a href=\"https:\/\/oregonstate.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_2ldnpYwx7mBqDsO\">register<\/a> as soon as possible. Registration is first come, first served and space is limited. If available seats are taken, you will have the option to express interest in future book club opportunities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions?
