This\u00a0puts you\u00a0in\u00a0a unique\u00a0position\u00a0to\u00a0support\u00a0students throughout the term.\u00a0As\u00a0you\u00a0prepare for fall,\u00a0I&#8217;d like to highlight\u00a0one way\u00a0you can clarify the availability of resources to students in your courses.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>One starting point is&nbsp;integrating the&nbsp;\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.oregonstate.edu\/courses\/1792606\/pages\/where-do-i-go-for-help?module_item_id=19407509\">Where Do I Go for Help<\/a>?\u201d page into your Canvas course site as a module page.* This page emphasizes a range of support for students\u2014including support for technology, accommodations, academics, and COVID updates\u2014and provides direct links to resources. While not a comprehensive list, the page provides key connection points to reduce the burden of identifying and navigating to resources, and to help students reach out. Including this page on your Canvas course site provides a great opportunity to normalize and encourage resource use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond this&nbsp;\u201cWhere Do I Go for Help?\u201d&nbsp;page, if&nbsp;you&nbsp;want&nbsp;to support a student but are unsure of&nbsp;available&nbsp;resources or don\u2019t have time to talk through resources with students in the moment, you can always connect students with the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/success.oregonstate.edu\/\">Academic Success Center<\/a>. We\u2019ll help students locate&nbsp;and connect with resources across the university. Students&nbsp;can visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/success.oregonstate.edu\/\">our website<\/a>&nbsp;to connect with us via email, phone, Zoom, or live chat (coming in September).&nbsp;&nbsp;Thank you for partnering with us&nbsp;to&nbsp;connect students to information and&nbsp;resources&nbsp;to support their fall&nbsp;learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>*Directions (2-min. process): To import \u201cWhere Do I Go for Help?\u201d into a Canvas course site, go to the homepage of any of your Canvas courses, and click on Import from Commons at the right or bottom of the window. Now you\u2019re on Canvas Commons, where you can search for \u201cWhere Do I Go for Help?\u201d and select the \u201cOregon State \u2013 Where Do I Go for Help?\u201d card. Then click on the blue Import\/Download button on the right and choose the course into which you would like to add the page. Click on the blue Import into Course button down at the bottom of the page. Voila! Now you can <a href=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/t5\/Instructor-Guide\/How-do-I-add-course-content-as-module-items\/ta-p\/1157\">add this page to a module<\/a> in the course, either to your first module (e.g., \u201cGetting Started\u201d) or in a resources section you have created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that the&nbsp;\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.oregonstate.edu\/courses\/1792606\/pages\/where-do-i-go-for-help?module_item_id=19407509\">Where Do I Go for Help<\/a>?\u201d page is also part of the OSU <a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.oregonstate.edu\/courses\/1792606\">Remote and Blended Teaching Canvas Template<\/a>.
