Greetings from your Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)<\/strong>. Housed on the top floor of LInC, our goal is to create and sustain a culture of teaching excellence<\/em>, and position OSU at the forefront of educational innovation<\/em>. Informed by evidence-based <\/em><\/strong>instructional practices and designed to address key faculty, instructor, and GTA needs, we have three major categories of offerings for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Individualized Learning Pathways (ILPs)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n CTL partners with departments and units across campus to provide professional development opportunities around teaching. Build your own ILP<\/strong>in five key areas: 1) Course Design; 2) Creating & Sustaining Inclusive Learning Environments; 3) Teaching with Technology; 4) Social, Emotional, and Brain Based Learning; and 5) Teacher Evaluation, Promotion & Tenure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n New2OSU<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The CTL offers the opportunity to earn a Certificate in University Teaching. New2OSU<\/strong> is focused on impacting student success by accelerating the effectiveness of newer teachers. We also provide teaching renewal for veteran teachers. Completion of the program may be used as evidence of professional development and teaching effectiveness for performance review (subject to supervisor approval). The CTL can only accept 20 applicants<\/u><\/strong> on a first-come, first-serve basis. The new \u201cT\u201d? Learn about tech tools that can be used to implement the pedagogical ideas shared! T4<\/sup>workshops are held every Tuesday from 10-11:50 or 2-3:50 \u2013 join either session!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Participate <\/strong>face-to-face in Milam 215 or online via Zoom (Visit Box<\/a> for more information about online participation).
