Finals week, everyone! Go Beavs – you’ve got this.
Last week —
- To help Oregonians better understand our state’s long history of racial exclusion, white supremacy, and efforts at resistance the OSU Press has developed this list of antiracist resources in solidarity with protesters, organizers, and others who are fighting for racial justice.
- University Librarian Faye Chadwell shared a call to action calling on OSULP to act now to combat systemic racism, work towards equity and justice, and dismantle racist systems.
- Oregon State’s Open Educational Resources Unit has launched a new services microsite to support faculty. This site serves as a comprehensive guide for working with the unit to integrate OER into courses.
- OSULP is both sad (for us) and happy (for him) to announce that Larry Landis, Director of the Special Collections and Archives Research Center, will be retiring this month after a long and distinguished career at OSU. We will miss you, Larry!
- In the wake of recent racist violence and resulting public demonstrations, many people are asking what they can do next. Educating yourself and your community can always be a part of that work. OSULP has a rich collection of ebooks that discuss racism, anti-racism, anti-Blackness, prison abolition, and related topics. If you would like to suggest a title we do not have, use this form to make a purchase request.
