Welcome to Week 6 — how are midterms going?
Last week —
- We know you miss the library – so we created a gallery of images perfect for desktop or Zoom backgrounds.
- If you’ll be teaching over Summer term, submit your Course Reserves soon.
- The Library Services Review Board (LSRB) met last week to discuss digital collections, the library’s services during remote learning (slides here), and a new card deck tool to help you with your research. If you’re interested in sharing your thoughts about the library, RSVP at the LSRB research guide and we’ll let you know about the fall meeting: https://guides.library.oregonstate.edu/lsrb.
- Check out the talented and creative visualizations created by OSU graduate students. The winners of the 2020 Visualize Your Bibliography competition were announced.
- The third entry in the Special Collections and Archives Research Center’s series on the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic is The “Spanish Flu” in Corvallis.
- Valley Library’s 3-D Printers Pivot to Medical Mask-Making (OSU Unsung Heroes).
- The Special Collections and Archives Research Center invites contributions to an archival collection that will document experiences by individuals and organizations in the COVID-19 pandemic. Submit text documents or digital images using this form. SCARC staff will also be collecting oral history interviews.
Next Week —
- Zotero workshops! May 5. Learn to use this powerful free, open-source citation management tool in Intro to Zotero, or brush up your skills in our Intermediate/Advanced workshop. Free Zoom workshops, open to anyone at OSU.
