Academic Year 2021-2022 Scholarships

Are you looking for scholarships to help pay for your tuition and fees next school year? This year, you will be able to search for both OSU scholarships and external (non-OSU) scholarships using ScholarDollars. The application is open now and will close February 15, 2021 for the College of Public Health and Human Sciences.  Start your application now (or during the winter break), and don’t wait until the last minute! All submitted CPHHS applications will be carefully reviewed by a committee of CPHHS faculty members across the college, and once your application is submitted, you won’t be able to edit it. Additionally, if you are an AY20-21 CPHHS scholarship recipient, your scholarship award(s) is not renewable, so we encourage everyone to apply for the AY21-22 scholarships. If you have any questions regarding the CPHHS undergraduate scholarships, please feel free to email our scholarship coordinator, Niddy Lindsley.

Benton Community Foundation Scholarships

The Benton Community Foundation (BCF) is offering several scholarships for incoming and current Native American and International students attending Oregon State University. Two scholarships are particularly for the College of Public Health and Human Sciences: Charles and Elaine Mellen Sutherland College of Public Health and Human Sciences Scholarship and Margaret Dowell-Gravatt, M.D. Scholarship. Applications are open now and close January 11, 2021. For more information on eligibility and the types of scholarships offered, be sure to check out the application here. If you have any questions, reach out to the grants manager Brittany Kennedy.

Job Opportunity: PHHS Peer Advisor

Are you looking for an exciting work opportunity?  Want to help other students?  Then you should apply to be a Peer Advisor for the College of Public Health & Human Sciences! Peer Advisors work within the Office of Student Success on a variety of interesting projects.  They help with recruitment events, meet with students, manage our social media, and do so much more!  If you’re interested, you can learn more about the position and apply here.  Applications will be accepted through January 10, 2021.  For questions, please email David Reitan.

Job Opportunity: Youth Coaches Needed

The Corvallis Parks & Recreation Department is searching for coaches for their youth basketball and lacrosse programs.  Do you play these sports?  Think back to how someone taught you the basics and showed you how to love them for the rest of your life.  Now is your chance to be that person for the current youth of Corvallis. Coaching experience is not required.  If you have the knowledge and the desire, we can teach you to be a great coach. Basketball season would take place from late January – mid March on Saturday mornings, and lacrosse season would take place early March – early June for 2 afternoons each week and Saturdays If this sounds like fun, do not wait.  Contact Robert Thornberg through email or phone (541-754-1706).
