What is Oregon Teen Science Cafes?

Teen Science Cafés is a series of fun, free, out-of-school events for teens in 7th-12th grade. Teens learn first hand how local scientists and technology experts are making discoveries and solving our world’s problems.

Cafés are an hour and half long and held once a month. Teens can socialize over free food and then engage with STEM professionals in lively discussions and hands-on activities.

Real Impact

Teen Science Cafés are for teens because teens design and lead the program with the support of adult mentors. Evaluations from other cafés across the nation show that Teen Science Cafés significantly increase teens’ understanding of STEM and how the science they learn in school impacts their lives and their future.
