Over the course of the 2 1\/2 month internship, the collection that was originally\u00a0an assortment of records\u00a0in several large bins, is now\u00a0arranged and described\u00a0(to see the &#8216;before&#8221; pictures, check out the very <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/oregonmulticulturalarchives\/2012\/04\/17\/stphilipcollection\/\" target=\"_blank\">first blog post<\/a>\u00a0from a few months ago).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Collection Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The St. Philip the Deacon Episcopal Parish collection spans from the years 1941-2012. It consists primarily of administrative records of the Vestry, Bishop\u2019s Advisory Committee, and the Annual Meeting,\u00a0as well as correspondence, publications, newspaper clippings, and audiovisual material. Other materials focus on church organizations and activities such as Episcopalian Church Women, The Richard Moffat Memorial Concert,\u00a0\u00a0and a refugee family from Ethiopia.\u00a0The collection also includes\u00a0documents pertaining to\u00a0Father Lee Owen Stone.\u00a0The audiovisual material is a mix of photographs and film.<\/p>\n<p>The records are organized into 10 series:<\/p>\n<p>Administrative Records (1971-2008)<br \/>\nOrganizations and Activities (1975-2009)<br \/>\nCeremonies (1956-2012)<br \/>\nFather Lee Owen Stone (1955-1983) inclusive (1972-1983) bulk<br \/>\nHistory, 1916-1989 (1989)<br \/>\nPublications (1976-2001)<br \/>\nGeneral Correspondence (1979-2011)<br \/>\nRefugee Family (1983-1984)<br \/>\nAudiovisual (1941-2007) inclusive (1960-2007) bulk<br \/>\nChurch Ledgers (1954-1999)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0agreement between\u00a0St. Philips\u00a0and the OMA\u00a0is to return the physical collection to the church, however, we hope to\u00a0digitize the collection materials in order to\u00a0make the records accessible to the public.\u00a0This process will take several months, but rest assured we will be sure to post about it!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The St. Philip the Deacon Episcopal Parish Records have been processed!
