\u00a0They say, “You’re only as good as the company you keep,” and judging\u00a0by the over 900 photographs I have inventoried\u00a0thus far\u00a0from the St. Philip the The Deacon\u00a0Episcopal Church collection I can tell you that\u00a0the St. Philip’s\u00a0congregation keeps the best of company.<\/p>\n

Three weeks ago the Oregon Multicultural Archives temporarily acquired a collection of materials from St. Philip the Deacon Episcopal Church<\/a>\u00a0located in Portland, Oregon.\u00a0Over the next\u00a0eight weeks it is my job to continue to research the church, process and organize the collection, scan selected materials and create metadata for the scanned items. Once my job is complete, we will return the collection to the Church.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

St. Philip’s\u00a0passion for the community, education, and youth is apparent throughout the collection and I cannot wait to continue processing\u00a0the materials\u00a0and sharing it with all of you in weeks to come.<\/p>\n
