style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p>Of all the things that influence a child&#8217;s growth and development, the most critical is reliable, responsive, and sensitive parenting. Parents &#8211; biological and adoptive parents, foster parents, grandparents, and other caregivers &#8211; lay the foundation for children\u2019s social, emotional, mental, academic, and physical health and development. The Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative (OPEC) believes families thrive when they have a caring, supportive community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OPEC is a network of organizations in Oregon and Siskiyou County, California that funds and coordinates parenting education opportunities. Family can access free parenting education by connecting with your local OPEC parenting \u201cHub.\u201d OPEC programs are for all families and strive to build community while honoring each family for their values, identities, home language, culture, and lived experiences.
