My current projects focus on urban agriculture, scaling and spatial distribution of food systems, and how different models of food production might improve conservation outcomes and resilience of food supplies to climate change. \u00a0My past research focused on\u00a0how biodiversity persists in human-dominated landscapes, and especially how wide-ranging species use agricultural and grazing landscapes. \u00a0I use GIS, spatially explicit modeling, and\u00a0field data\u00a0to answer questions about\u00a0how private lands might be better managed to advance conservation goals while providing necessary resources for people. \u00a0I am based in Corvallis, Oregon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Theresa Nogeire McRae\u200bSpatial ScientistAmerican Farmland Trust Courtesy FacultyCollege of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric SciencesOregon State University\u00a0 Current Research I teach and conduct research in sustainable agriculture, landscape ecology, and conservation biology.
